Frequently asked questions
- How does watermark removal work?
- The tool scans the document for watermark layers — repeated text stamps and overlay objects — and strips them from every page, leaving the underlying content intact.
- Which watermarks can be removed?
- Text-based watermarks and stamp overlays added as separate layers. Watermarks flattened into scanned images can't be separated from the page.
- Is it legal to remove a watermark?
- Only remove watermarks from documents you own or have permission to modify — for example, cleaning a draft stamp off your own file. Removing others' copyright marks may be unlawful.
- Will removal damage the page content?
- No. Only the watermark objects are removed; the text and images beneath are untouched.
- Is my file stored after processing?
- No. The cleanup happens in memory and your document is purged immediately after download.
